Roberto Del Frate was born January 31, 1960 in Venice by his Venetian noble Polish-born mother and his father, an established painter at local and national level, Enrico Del Frate, said Frattini. Del Frate learned the art and love of oil painting from his father, spending his days at the father’s studio, located at the Palace of the Meravegie near the Academy of Art in Venice.
After high school in humanistic and the first sales at local merchants, he decided to tour Europe and lived for long in Paris, where he painted live open air sketches mostly.
After many years of experimenting with watercolors, he started experimenting with acrylics and developed his own technique replacing oil with an alternation of acrylics, oil and acrylics.
He spent some years in Brussels and London until in 1990 opening his studio in Venice. Del Frate has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, enjoying broad support for his chromatic tonal refined sensibility. His works have been shown and sold all over the world, especially to the US and UK. He worked for French and Belgian galleries and American designers with large scale works.
Around 2005, Del Frate discovered a passion for urban landscape.
In 2009, falls in love with Trieste and moved his studio and showroom there.
